A CBD oil popped up that claimed to have been endorsed by the Lakers legend. It alleged that Kobe bragged about how the oil had helped him play at a championship level. Since the Black Mamba was connected to the product, the company generously decided to give fans one free bottle. The reality was people did not get it for free and ended up being charged $101 for it. Fans were outraged and called out Kobe’s widow, Vanessa.
Foul on the Play
According to Clutch Points, Vanessa came out and said that Kobe never endorsed the brand, used its products, or commented on it. She posted online, “Why would we sell CBD? #SCAM…This is crazy. What a SCAM…Some people actually believed this?”She was incredulous that people could actually believe the outrageous claims.
